Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his distinctive style. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. Sunshine is a name that she has given her is Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta now, Sunshine is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician, playing and singing at the local church. In Atlanta, she attended Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals,"Stalk You A House 12 came out only in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. The Fighting Temptations was the second soundtrack that she sang on. In 2005, she became the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention through her performances on four consecutive days at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
